2. Overview
You can visit this website without telling us who you are. We only process personal data where this is necessary to deliver the website, to answer your enquiry, to carry out a contract with you, or where you have given your consent. Below we explain which data this concerns, for what purpose, on which legal basis and for how long.
3. Hosting and delivery of the website
This website is hosted by Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, 38 Avenue John F. Kennedy, L-1855 Luxembourg ("AWS"). The files are stored in an AWS data centre in the EU (Stockholm) and delivered via the AWS content delivery network CloudFront, which serves the website from the server closest to you.
When you open a page, your browser automatically transmits technical information that is required to deliver the page: in particular your IP address, date and time of the request, the requested page, the browser and operating system used and the referring website. This data is processed only to deliver the website securely and reliably and is not used to identify you. We do not store separate access logs.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in a secure and functioning website). We have concluded a data processing agreement with AWS (Art. 28 GDPR). Insofar as data may be processed by Amazon Web Services, Inc. in the USA, this is based on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, under which the company is certified, and on the EU standard contractual clauses.
4. Fonts
All fonts used on this website are stored on our own server. No connection to external font services (such as Google Fonts) is established.
5. Cookies and consent
This website only uses technically necessary storage, with one exception: Google Analytics, which is loaded only after you have given your consent via the notice shown on your first visit. Your choice (accept or decline) is stored in your browser's local storage so that we do not ask you again on every page.
You can change or withdraw your decision at any time with future effect via the link "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.
Legal basis: Section 25(1) TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR for Google Analytics (consent); Section 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG for storing your choice.
6. Google Analytics (only with your consent)
If you consent, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"), to understand how visitors use our website and to improve it. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies and processes information such as pages visited, time spent, approximate location (country/city), device and browser information and referring website. In Google Analytics 4, IP addresses are not logged or stored. Advertising features are switched off.
Data may also be transferred to Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; in addition, the EU standard contractual clauses apply. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google.
Data is stored for up to 14 months and then deleted automatically.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG (your consent). Without your consent, Google Analytics is not loaded and no data is transmitted to Google. More information: Google Privacy Policy.
7. Enquiry form (Tally)
For venue enquiries we use a form provided by Tally BV, Sint-Pietersnieuwstraat 11, 9000 Gent, Belgium ("Tally"). The form opens in a window on our website. Tally stores the data on servers in the European Union.
The data you enter (e.g. name, company, email address, telephone number, event details such as date, number of guests and requirements) is used exclusively to process your enquiry and to prepare an offer. It is forwarded to our internal customer management system (Google Workspace, see section 8).
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract at your request) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our interest in answering enquiries efficiently). More information: Tally Privacy Notice.
8. Contact by email or telephone, customer management
If you contact us by email or telephone, we process the data you provide to handle your request. We use Google Workspace (Google Ireland Limited, address see section 6) for email, documents and our internal customer and project management. Google processes this data on our behalf under a data processing agreement.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your request relates to a contract or offer, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We delete your data when it is no longer required, unless statutory retention obligations (in particular under commercial and tax law, up to 10 years) require us to keep it.
9. Newsletter
If you have subscribed to our newsletter, we use Mailchimp, a service of The Rocket Science Group LLC, 405 N Angier Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA, to send it. Mailchimp processes your email address and, where provided, your name, and records whether newsletters are delivered and opened and which links are clicked, so that we can improve our newsletter. The transfer to the USA is based on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the EU standard contractual clauses.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (your consent). You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every newsletter or by email to us.
10. Job applications
If you send us an application (e.g. to job@bechstein-network.com), we process your data to carry out the application process. Legal basis: Section 26 BDSG and Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. If we cannot offer you a position, we delete your application documents six months after the end of the application process, unless you have agreed to a longer storage period.
11. Links to social networks
Our website contains simple links to our profiles on Instagram and LinkedIn. These are ordinary links, not embedded plugins: no data is transmitted to these networks when you visit our website. Only when you click a link and open the respective platform does its own privacy policy apply.
12. Encryption
This website uses TLS encryption (recognisable by "https://" in the address bar) to protect the transmission of content.
13. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)

To exercise these rights, a simple email to info@bechstein-network.com is sufficient.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is: Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin.
14. No automated decision-making
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
15. Changes
We may update this privacy policy when our website or the services we use change. The current version is always available on this page.
